Funkify

Raunchy James Brown? Modern R&B take on Beyonce Knowles? The funky beats of the Average White Band? New eight-piece Funkify will guide you from the roots of acid jazz to modern funk and soul! An original take on classic funk and soul numbers played with groove, expertise and passion by a strong line up including our fabulous lead singer, Pritee, 2 female backing singers and a full horn section.

Funkify is a funky, happening covers band of 20somethings playing a mix of funk, soul and acid-jazz. The line up includes our superb singer with attitude, Pritee, 2 female backing singers, sax, trumpet, keys, guitar, bass and drums. We play functions, pubs and clubs and provide our own soundsystem to suit the venue.

 We play regular gigs around London and Hertfordshire (where the band is based). We have performed in diverse venues, headlining at the Horns in Watford, West One Four (West Kensington), The JAGZ club (Ascot), and Cambridge University. We are happy to perform outdoors, our recent gigs have included a Cambridge outdoor event for 400 people.
